CAHSS to Host Story Café on Gender at the Alvin Sherman Library

Story Café

Story Café

NSU will host the Second Annual Story Café in the Alvin Sherman Library (room 2053.) This year’s topic is Gender. The free event is sponsored by Peace Place, a project of Community Resolution Services (CRS) and the Social Justice Roundtable in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) in partnership with the CAHSS Graduate SGA,

Story Café provides an opportunity for participants to share stories using narrative and other mediums such as poetry and photos. Participants will be at tables with graduate students as facilitators.

CRS is a practicum and volunteer site for students to enhance their knowledge and skills and to provide services to NSU and local communities. CRS offers trainings, workshops, and other services to help foster peaceful families, organizations, and communities. Peace Place, a part of CRS, is a long standing collaboration between CAHSS and the Broward County Library to provide presentations and events by students and faculty to the community.

The event is open to the public, and refreshments will be served. For more information, please contact Suzette Henry-Campbell at 954-262-4237 or Judith McKay, J.D., Ph.D., via e-mail (mckayj@nova.edu).
