CAHSS Students Receive Awards at the Southeastern Writing Center Association Conference and NSU’s Write from the Start Writing and Communication Center
Jacqueline Lytle and Emalee Shrewsbury, students in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS), were the recipients of the Graduate Tutor Awards at the 2018 Southeastern Writing Center Association Conference. The conference was held on February 22-24, 2018 at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. The theme was “Writing Centers in Transition.” Both students are in the master’s program in Composition, Rhetoric, and Digital Media in the Department of Writing and Communication (DWC) and are graduate tutors in NSU’s Write from the Start Writing and Communication Center. Kevin Dvorak, Ph.D., director of the center and faculty in DWC accepted an award on behalf of NSU. Dvorak is the past-president of the International Writing Centers Association.
