CAHSS Students in NIRA Participate in the Florida Model UN in Gainesville
The Nova International Relations Association (NIRA) is the Model United Nations team in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (CAHSS). NIRA recently participated in the 12th Annual Florida Model United Nations held in Gainesville on October 20-21, 2017.
Nine undergraduate students participated, representing the countries of Cuba, Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, and Nepal in the General Assembly, Security, Council, UNICEF, and ECOSOC. Participants were: Celina Mahabir – NIRA VP, Joshua Hallinger – NIRA Treasurer, Esperanza Bautista-Ulerio, Jack Lee, Lekha Mutyala, Varsha Gopaulchan, Emily Gilman, Jerry Ennolikara, and Nicole Caputi. The faculty advisor is G. Nelson Bass, J.D., Ph.D., faculty in CAHSS’ Department of History and Political Science. NIRA is open is all NSU undergraduates.
