CAHSS Student named President of NSU’s Public Relations Student Society of America Chapter
Brittany Eyres, a senior in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) is the 2017-2018 President of NSU’s Public Relations Student Society of America Chapter. Eyres is a communication major in the Department of Writing and Communication.
During last summer, she served as a public relations intern with Scott Palmer Racing and traveled with the team. As part of her internship, Eyres was responsible for managing the team’s social media accounts, created a media kit for sponsors, and drafted press releases.
Eyres indicated that, “Dr. Lehmann’s PR writing course has helped me tremendously in my internship. I have taken what I’ve learned in that class and applied it to all press releases, the media kit, and even social media writing. Without that class or any of my writing classes, I would not have been able to successfully complete my internship.”
