CAHSS Launches Honor Society Chapter, Delta Kappa Omicron

The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) is pleased to announce their new chapter in Delta Kappa, the International Marriage and Family Honor Society.

Delta Kappa is the official honor society for Marriage and Family Therapy. The NSU chapter is called Delta Kappa Omicron and was started by the Department of Family Therapy (DFT). DFT, as a COAMFTE accredited program, was eligible to create a chapter. The chapter advisor is Kara Erolin, Ph.D., faculty in the department.

The chapter’s installation took place in the DeSantis Building on October 30, 2015. In order for a student to be eligible to join the chapter, they must be a graduate student with at least 12 graduate credits and a minimum GPA of 3.75. Other members may be graduates of the program with a GPA of 3.5 who have achieved Clinical Fellow status in AAMFT or select senior practitioners. The chapter anticipates sponsoring programs, workshops, and other enriching activities.
