CAHSS invites you to “Suddenly Last Summer”, April 7-9

Suddenly Last Summer

NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) is delighted to invite you to see a performance of “Suddenly Last Summer” by the Department of Performing and Visual Arts. Witness the challenging and beautiful writing of Tennessee Williams in this performance of his most disturbing work. Catherine Holly is sent to a mental health facility by her aunt. Mrs. Venable, after Catherine under the influence of a truth serum claims to have witnessed her cousin’s brutal murder on their trip to Europe. Her story, if true, would reveal his deepest secrets and Mrs. Venable will not stand to see them brought to light. Who is telling the truth and how far will Mrs. Venable go to protect her son’s reputation and hide his secrets?

Performances will be on Friday, April 7 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, April 8 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, April 9 at 2 p.m., in the Performance Theatre in the Don Taft University Center.
