CAHSS invites you to Facing Forward, Mar. 1
NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) is delighted to invite you to the play, Facing Forward, Thursday, March 1, 2018, at 5:00pm in The Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center. This fast-paced play is full of humor, information, and poignant moments spotlighting our young community and breasts health awareness. Commissioned by the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation, the play was written by Elena Maria Garcia, an award-winning performer and playwright, and directed by Gail Garrison. This is a free event and all are invited.
The Department of Performing and Visual Arts (DPVA) received a grant last year from the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. The project will provide education and empowerment to young women in becoming proactive and aware of their breast health through educational performances and artistic and educational publications. The Principal Investigators are Bill Adams, D.M.A., and Mark Duncan, M.F.A., from DPVA.
