CAHSS Invites You to City Reads, Sept. 12
NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) is delighted to invite you to this edition of City Reads! Presented by City Theatre and the Department of Performing and Visual Arts (DPVA) in CAHSS new plays from countrywide submissions were selected. Directed by City Theatre’s very own Margaret M. Ledford and Gail Garrisan, City Reads is a free and open to the public reading series that will feature our student actors. South Florida audiences are invited to have a role in the discovery of new plays and playwrights. A discussion with the staff and artists of City Theatre will follow the readings.
The reading will take place September 12 on the NSU Fort Lauderdale campus. The show will start at 8:00pm in the Performance Theatre, located on the first floor of the Don Taft University Center.
Admission is FREE and open to the public. Seating is first come, first served, so arrive early.
The Broward County Board of County Commissioners as recommended by the Broward Cultural Council and Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau sponsors the event.
