CAHSS Invites Proposals for the Intellectual Conversations 2016-2017 on “Migration”
NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences is pleased to announce that the Intellectual Conversations series will continue during the next academic year on the theme of “Migration.” Generally these conversations last for one hour and have been held in NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library Thursday afternoons from noon until 1 p.m. The conversations last for about 45 minutes with 10-15 minutes for discussion and there are usually four or five conversations per semester. These may be traditional written papers or multimedia presentations and may have one of more participants.
Next year’s conversations may deal with any aspect of migration and we encourage multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural perspectives. Though at least one participant must be a member of the CAHSS faculty, we encourage collaboration with faculty, students or alumni throughout NSU either on or off campus.
If you have questions or are interested in participating, please submit a title along with a 100-200 word abstract to James Doan, Ph.D., via e-mail (doan@nova.edu).
The abstracts are due by Monday, May 9, 2016.
