CAHSS hosts Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Honor Society Induction Ceremony during NSU’s Multimedia Conference
The Department of Writing and Communication (DWAC) in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) held their induction ceremony for NSU Chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Honor Society during the NSU Multimedia Conference. The NSU Multimedia Conference is a day-long event featuring more than 40 sessions on a variety of topics including print journalism, broadcast, and film. Seasoned professionals provided students from high schools, community colleges, and NSU students with invaluable information and career tips. Sponsored by the NSU Office of Student Media and supported by CAHSS, the conference featured guest speakers such as Howard Saltz, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the Sun Sentinel Media Group.
During the conference luncheon, NSU’s Chapter of Lambda Phi Eta National Communication Honor Society Induction Ceremony took place. This is the honor society of the National Communication Association, and NSU has had a chapter since 2005.
