CAHSS Freshman Receives DHPS Student Scholar Fund Award and Presents at PSA National Political Science Honor Society Conference
David Rocha, freshman student in the Department of History and Political Science (DHPS,) in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS), presented a paper at the Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society National Student Research Conference. The George Washington University in DC hosted the conference.
Rocha was the first recipient of the DHPS Student Scholar Fund which enabled him to attend the conference. Rocha indicated that the conference also provided networking opportunities, including career panels covering topics such as graduate and law school, internships, and careers in various political science fields. Ransford Edwards, Jr., Ph.D., faculty in the department, reported that Rocha’s presentation was excellent! Rocha said, “I definitely recommend this for any undergraduate student who wants to advance his/her education.”
