CAHSS Faculty Named 2016 SWCA Achievement Award Recipient
Shanti Bruce, Ph.D., faculty and chair of the Department of Writing and Communication in NSU’s College of Art, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS), has been named the recipient of the 2016 Southeastern Writing Center Association Achievement Award.
This award recognizes the outstanding, sustained body of work of a writing center director or supervisor to a particular writing center, SWCA, and/or the writing center community at large. CAHSS houses The Writing Center, providing writing assistance and guidance to students in The Writing Studio, which is located in NSU’s Parker Building.
Bruce’s research and teaching interests include writing centers, writing program administration, research methods, composition pedagogies, and teaching students how to teach writing and how to write for journals and magazines.
