Bina Patel, Ph.D., Crystina Wyler, M.A., and Cheryl Duckworth, Ph.D.

Cheryl Duckworth, Ph.D., faculty in the Department of Conflict Resolution Studies in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS), Bina Patel, Ph.D., graduate of the doctoral program in conflict analysis and resolution, and Crystina Wyler, M.A., graduate of the M.A. in Cross-disciplinary Studies program and current doctoral student in conflict analysis and resolution presented at the Third International Symposium on Teaching about Extremism, Terror, and Trauma (TETT) in Montreal. Held at Concordia University, this year’s theme was Creating Learning Against Radicalization (C.L.E.A.R.)

Duckworth’s presentation was entitled, “Learning 9/11 in an Age of Terror:  Meta-Narratives, Local Impact.” Patel’s presentation was entitled, “Psychology of Female Violence,” and Wyler’s presentation was entitled, “Transforming Cultural Identity: How Forced Migration Changes the Role of Women.”
