CAHSS Faculty Publish Article in Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment

Steven Kurtz, Ph.D.

The article, “A randomized trial of brief assessment interventions for young adults who use drugs in the club scene” has been published in the Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment by faculty in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS). The paper presents the primary scientific findings from a randomized clinical trial of brief interventions for not-in-treatment young adults who use drugs.

The authors are Steven P. Kurtz, Ph.D., Professor and Director of the Center for Applied Research on Substance Use and Health Disparities (ARSH), Mance E. Buttram, Assistant professor and Assistance Director of ARSH, and affiliated faculty Maria E. Pagano, Ph.D., and Hilary L. Surratt, Ph.D. ARSH is a part of the Department of Justice and Human Services in CAHSS.
