CAHSS Faculty Presents at the Dispute Resolution Center’s Annual Conference
Judith McKay, J.D., Ph.D., faculty and chair in the Department of Multidisciplinary Studies (DMS) in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS), presented a workshop for mediator’s arbitrators, and other conflict resolution scholars and practitioners at the 24th Annual Conference of the Florida Dispute Resolution Center held in Orlando. The conference theme was “Dimensions of Diversity.”
McKay’s workshop was titled, “Family Violence: New Perspectives and Approaches.” The workshop focused on recent research and application to conflict resolution practices. Cultural and socioeconomic implications were emphasized. McKay’s research and teaching interests also include organizational conflict, conflict coaching, crisis communication, strategic community planning and partnerships, and college student affairs.
