CAHSS Faculty awarded Fellowship for US Holocaust Memorial Museum
Gary Gershman, J.D., Ph.D., professor in the Department of History and Political Science in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) has been awarded the 2017 Curt C. and Else Silberman Faculty Seminar Follow-Up Grant for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC. Gershman was one of two 2017 recipients.
This award will enable Gershman to be in residence for a month this summer at the Mandel Center at the museum, with an office/work space. He will be provided access to the archives, many of which are not open to the public. Gershman will work on Holocaust course curriculum development and collecting teaching materials. He will be able to consult, interact, and work with staff and visiting scholars. As part of the fellowship, Gershman will deliver a presentation and conduct a discussion around his work.
