CAHSS Calls for Proposals for Intellectual Conversations 2017-2018, Deadline for Abstracts: April 24
Deadline for Abstracts: April 24, 2017
NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) is pleased to announce a Call for Proposals for our Intellectual Conversations 2017-2018 series. The new theme is “Resilience and Resistance.” Intellectual Conversations is typically held monthly on a Thursday afternoon during the fall and winter terms from noon – 1 p.m. in the Alvin Sherman Library on the Fort Lauderdale-Davie Campus, although some have been held from 5 – 6 p.m. The talks last for about 45 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of lively conversation. They may include traditional written papers, multimedia presentations, or a combination of both.
We invited you to submit a proposal on any aspect of resilience and resistance. Topics may come from any discipline and we encourage multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural perspectives. Though at least one participant must be a member of the CAHSS faculty, we encourage collaboration with faculty, students or alumni throughout NSU. Those interested in participating should submit a title along with a 100-200 word abstract to CAHSS faculty member Stephen Levitt, J.D at levitts@nova.edu. The abstracts are due by Monday, April 24, 2017.
