CAHSS and Halmos College Panel Presentation: “Climate Change and Conflict in the Artic Region”, Nov. 9
Community Resolution Services in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) and NSU’s Halmos College of Natural Science and Oceanography invite you to a multidisciplinary panel presentation titled, “Climate Change and Conflict in the Artic Region.”
The presentation will be on Monday, November 9 from 4:30-6 pm in the 3rd Floor Auditorium in the Guy Harvey Oceanographic Center building, located on NSU’s Ocean Campus, 8000 North Ocean Drive (located within the Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park (formerly known as John U. Lloyd Beach State Park). The event is free and open to the public.
The panel moderator is Judith McKay, J.D., Ph.D. from the Department of Multidisciplinary Studies.
The panel will include:
- The Honorable Fran Ulmer, chair, U.S. Artic Research Commission via webinar
- Amy Hirons, Ph.D., faculty and research scientist in the Department of Marine and Environmental Sciences
- Melodee Smith, J.D., Ph.D., environmental conflict resolution attorney.
