Home-Breaking the Silence on PTSD, Addiction, and Recovery Support

Anita Holsapple receives 2018 SAMHSA VOICE award for her documentary

Anita Holsapple, M.S., graduate of the master’s program in Conflict Analysis and Resolution in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) has received the SAMHSA 2018 Voice Award for her documentary, Battlefield: Home-Breaking the Silence on PTSD, Addiction, and Recovery Support. SAMHSA, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration recognized community leaders, members of the entertainment industry, and others for their work in raising awareness about behavioral health and substance abuse recovery. Holsapple received the award at a ceremony in Los Angeles.

Holsapple’s film focuses on returning veterans and their struggles with PTSD, substance abuse, and the roles of family and community support. For more information about the film, please go to https://battlefield-home.com/
