NSU Alumni Spotlight: CAHSS Alum Publishes Article in Alternative and Complementary Therapies on T’ai Chi Chih
Marilyn Anita Vestal, Ph.D., graduate of the doctoral program in Conflict Analysis and Resolution in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences has published an article in the journal, Alternative and Complementary Therapies (August 2017). Vestal’s article is entitled, “T’ai Chi Chih, An Evidence-Based Mindfulness Practice: Literature Review.” The abstract may be found at: http://online.liebertpub.com/doi/10.1089/act.2017.29121.mav.
In addition to her doctoral degree from NSU, Vestal holds an M.B.A. from Texas Tech University, and a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech. She was a faculty member at Mountain State University and Eastern Mennonite University and has been an adjunct faculty member at NSU and other universities. Vestal received an NSU Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award in 2005.
