See ‘Bye Bye Birdie’ for three performances at University School of NSU, Opening Apr. 8

Get your tickets now for another spectacular production by University School of NSU’s Middle School students! The entire NSU community is invited to attend the Middle School’s production of Bye Bye Birdie.

All performances will take place in the Silverman Auditorium at the Epstein Center for the Arts. Show times are Apr. 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m., and Apr. 10 at 1:30 p.m. Tickets begin at $8.

Bye Bye Birdie is an exciting satire of America in the 1950s, which features an unsuccessful songwriter who convinces rock-and-roll phenomenon Conrad Birdie to sing one of his songs on the Ed Sullivan show. The pop star will then symbolically “kiss goodbye” a young lady chosen at random from his pool of fans, since the show will be his last before being drafted. Things get trickier as everyone descends on the small town where the chosen girl lives.
