Business Students Volunteer for March of Dimes
Seven students from the Graduate Business Student Association (GBSA) at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship recently spent their Friday helping the March of Dimes set up for their May 8 March for Babies event. While at the park, the GBSA students helped set up vendors’ banners in the tents for the vendors participating in the walk, and whatever else needed to be done to prepare for the annual event.
The not-for-profit organization is committed to helping improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature births, and infant mortality. They accomplish this via research, community service, education, and advocacy. The March for Babies in South Florida is a major fundraiser that raises money for research, requiring participants to walk a six-mile course to help the cause.
