Business Students Honored at Dean’s List Award Luncheon

The H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship held its traditional award luncheon to honor and recognize approximately 200 undergraduate business students who qualified for the fall 2012 Dean’s List. The event was held in the Dr. William S. Spears Courtyard Atrium on Wednesday, Feb. 20.

For Huizenga Business School Students to qualify for the Dean’s List, they must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 during the semester and exemplify stellar academic ethics. The luncheon provided faculty members, academic advisors, and other administrative staff members from the Huizenga Business School and University the opportunity to congratulate and recognize the students for their academic accomplishments.

J. Preston Jones, D.B.A., interim dean of the Huizenga Business School, addressed the students and provided words of encouragement and praise for their hard work: “This is a big deal, but why? Many of you work part-time or even full-time jobs and you still make the grade. You exemplify academic integrity without compromising your values.

“The faculty expects the best. They demand the best. And they receive the best from you. Congratulations and good luck in this new term,” Jones concluded.
