Business School Hosts Stranahan High School Students
For the fifth consecutive year, the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship hosted a Business Education Day for a group of 17 students from Stranahan High School. The students, who are members of the Business Professionals of America (BPA) organization, visited NSU’s campus on Friday, Oct. 21.
Dena Hale, Ph.D., assistant professor of marketing at the Huizenga Business School gave a mock-class lecture where she discussed decision-making skills that are part of the multi-attribute model, which is used in sales and marketing curriculum to analyze buyer behavior.
In addition to the mock lecture, the BPA students were given a presentation on job interviewing skills by April Klimkiewicz, assistant director of career advisement from NSU’s Office of Career Development. They also participated in an admissions presentation, a tour of the NSU campus and lunch in the Don Taft University Center food court.
