Business School Alumna Appointed Jamaica’s Ambassador to U.S.
Audrey Marks, a 1991 M.B.A. alumna from NSU’s H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, was recently appointed as Jamaica’s ambassador to the United States.
Jamaica’s Foreign Minister Ken Baugh formally announced the appointment of Marks as Kingston’s new ambassador-designate to Washington in late March.
A career entrepreneur, Marks has also started and operated six businesses, including a 100-acre banana exporting farm, transportation company, and a real estate sales and development company. She has also managed a Venture Capital Company with diverse investments including manufacturing, travel and entertainment activities.
At a national level, Marks is the deputy chairman of the Urban Development Company (UDC), director of the Board of RBTT Securities Jamaica limited, Jamaica Trade and Investment Company Limited, National Health Fund and the University of the West Indies (Mona School of Business) as well as a number of private and public sector bodies.
Marks holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration.
