CAHSS partners with Broward Cultural Division to Launch Broward Dance Coalition Initiative

Continuing its work to cultivate South Florida’s dance community, Broward Cultural Division, in partnership with NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (CAHSS) and the Department of Performing and Visual Arts, launches its Broward Dance Coalition Initiative with a high-powered, inspirational experience with the renowned Dr. Rennie Harris. The event will be held at NSU’s Don Taft University Center Performance Theater.

Rennie Harris is the choreographer and director of “Rome and Jewels,” the longest running hip hop dance theater work in American history with three Bessie Awards, two Black Theater Alvin Ailey Awards, a Herb Alpert award and a nomination for a Lawrence Olivier Award (UK).

This program targets both the dance and hip hop communities in Broward County and is open to all others throughout South Florida.
