Broward County Centennial Kickoff Celebration at the Block Party for Higher Education, Oct. 16
A unique consortium of educational institutions, the Higher Ed Block Party offers students, their families, and the general public an occasion to celebrate our downtown Fort Lauderdale educational corridor which includes the NSU Museum of Art Ft. Lauderdale, the AutoNation Academy of Art + Design, Broward College, FIU, FAU, and the Lingua Learning Center.
Date: Thursday, October 16
Location: NSU Museum of Art, between Andrews and 2nd Ave on Las Olas Blvd. Fort Lauderdale
Time: 5 – 8 p.m.
The Block Party is a late afternoon of fun, food, and festivity along Las Olas Boulevard from SE Third Ave to SW First Ave. New this year will the combining of the Block Party with the Broward County Centennial kickoff celebration! There will be live entertainment on the stage next to the Museum of Art, lots of food, street artists, performances by the John Wai Kung Fu performance team, and a few surprises! Mayors representing cities throughout Broward County are expected to speak as well as the President of Broward College and representatives from FAU.
More than 700 people are expected to attend this ‘fun-tastic’ event. Come out and enjoy the fun!
