Broberg, Kopale and Olafsdottir Named to All-SSC Team

On Thursday, Nov. 8, the League office announced the selection of Juniors Malin Broberg (Stockholm, Sweden), and Dilja Olafsdottir (Reykjavik, Iceland) as well as freshman Amanda Kopale (Fr., Cape Coral, Fla.) to the 2012 All-Sunshine State Conference Second-Team.

Despite past All-Region selections, this is the first time Broberg and Olafsdottir have been named to the All-SSC team. As a freshman, Kopale is the first goalkeeper in program history to make the All-SSC team.

“This is the first time in the history of our program that three players have been named to the ALL-SSC team in the same year, certainly their teammates and coaches are excited for them,” said head women’s soccer coach Michael Goodrich. “With that said, knowing how competitive each one of them are, I am sure they are looking forward to next year and excelling as a group.” Click here to read the complete release.
