Broadway Classic Cabaret Comes to NSU
“What good is sitting alone in your room? Come hear the music play.” The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Performing and Visual Arts will present the classic musical production, “Cabaret at NSU,” now through Nov. 20. Performances will take place in the Performance Theatre of the college’s Performing and Visual Arts Wing in the Don Taft University Center.
With music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, Cabaret is set in a seedy Berlin nightclub amid the backdrop of the Nazis’ rise to power. Over the years, the play has won multiple Tony Awards, Drama Desk Awards, and Olivier Awards.
Performances of this Premier Series production will take place at NSU on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and on Sundays at 2:00 p.m.
Admission to Cabaret is free, but tickets are required. To reserve seats, contact the division box office at (954) 262-8179 or nsutheatre@nova.edu. Note: This production is intended for mature audiences.
Each year, the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Performing and Visual Arts presents outstanding theatrical, musical, and dance productions. These performances serve as co-curricular opportunities for students to gain practical experience, and provide the NSU community with a local resource for educational and entertaining presentations.
