Bound For Broadway Camp – NSU Discount Available

The NSU University School introduces “BOUND FOR BROADWAY” Summer Program for students age 11-18 and will run through June 13-July 8 from 9:00 a.m-3:30 p.m. with no camp on Monday, July 4.

This camp is an immersive theatrical experience, designed to cultivate campers’ understanding in both performance and technical aspects of theatre production.

Campers will select one design area and one performance area as a focus:

DESIGN (CAMPERS PICK ONE)
Costume & Make Up
Campers will learn how to design make up and costume concepts for a selected period, play or production. Campers will also have the opportunity to help build a design.

Set Design/Modeling
Campers will learn to design concepts for a selected scene within a play or production. Campers will have the opportunity to build a set design model.

Lighting Design
Campers will learn how to design a light plot for theatrical use. Campers will have the opportunity to assist in design of lighting for the final camp showcase.

PERFORMANCE (CAMPERS PICK ONE)
Acting
Campers will learn acting technique as it pertains to monologues and scene study. Campers will have the
opportunity to focus on a selected monologue or scene to perform in the final showcase.

Singing
Campers will learn proper singing techniques as it pertains to solos and ensembles. Campers will have the opportunity to focus on a selected solo or ensemble to perform in the final showcase.

Dance
Campers will learn proper dance technique as it pertains to ensemble performance. Campers will have the opportunity to focus on a selected dance ensemble to perform in the final showcase.

Full-time NSU faculty/staff receive 35% off camp tuition and FREE before and after care.
