Nova Southeastern University rower Rebecca Bergen (Sr., Winnipeg, Manitoba) has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District At Large Team, as announced Thursday, May 7.

As a rower, Bergen went up against the best academic student-athletes from rowing, tennis, golf, swimming and diving, field and ice hockey, water polo, rifle, fencing, gymnastics, skiing and lacrosse. She was one of only two rowers from the South Region honored.

Bergen carried a 3.99 GPA as a biology major. She was recently honored as NSU’s Female Scholar Athlete of the Year, for having the highest GPA in her senior class of student-athletes.

Athletically, Bergen has been a key rower on the sixth-ranked team in the nation. She recently rowed in the varsity-4 boat that competed at the Aberdeen Dad Vail regatta.
