Ben Taylor Selected to Represent Europe in Palmer Cup
Nova Southeastern men’s golfer Benjamin Taylor (Jr., Leatherhead, England) has been selected to compete in the 2013 Palmer Cup, representing Europe, June 7-9 at the Wilmington Country Club in Wilmington, Del., as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
The event will use a Ryder Cup-style format and bring together the top-10 collegiate players in the United States against their counterparts from Great Britain and Ireland. The event will feature 24 matches with every player required to compete twice. Players must participate in either the four-ball or foursomes matches and in one of the two rounds of singles matches.
Taylor, the 2012 Division-II Jack Nicklaus Award recipient has been selected and will be representing Europe as the only Division-II golfer selected by either teams. Taylor is also the only golfer to be selected in the history of the Sharks program. Complete Release
