Jaime Tartar, Ph.D.

The NSU College of Psychology, Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is excited to offer a 2-week (9 am – 12:30 pm) discovery-based Behavioral Neuroscience training program for rising high school juniors and seniors. The camp is being offered from July 11 – 22, 2016 on NSU’s main campus. Students will participate in workshops with NSU faculty that will feature demonstrations and discussions on such topics as immunostaining neurons, neuroanatomy and brain dissection, recording from neurons, biofeedback in humans, neuropathology, computational neuroscience, and receptor binding.

The program is designed to assist students with the transition from high school to college, advance their skills in research, problem‐solving, and critical thinking, and better prepared them to enter competitive pre-professional programs.  Jaime Tartar, Ph.D., and James Munoz, Ph.D., are sponsors of this program.
