Baseball Voted Fifth in SSC Preseason Poll
The Nova Southeastern University baseball team was chosen fifth in the 2015 Sunshine State Conference Preseason Coaches’ poll, released by the league office on Tuesday.
The Sharks were garnered 36 points, just three points behind Saint Leo. NSU finished in sixth place during it’s 2014 campaign, earning an overall record of 29-17 and 10-14 within the SSC.
The blue and grey will look to carry momentum into the 2015 year after winning five of their last six contests in 2014. Returning the bulk of a record setting pitching staff, the Sharks will look to climb to the top of the SSC with an upper-classman heavy team. With the help of a reloaded offense, NSU is set for a head-turning 2015.
Below is the SSC Preseason Coaches’ poll.
1 – Tampa (8), 64
2 – Florida Southern, 54
3 – Lynn (1), 50
4 – Saint Leo, 39
5 – NSU, 36
6 – Florida Tech, 31
7 – Barry, 25
8 – Eckerd, 14
9 – Rollins, 11
