Athletic Academic Services Brings in Alumni for Softball Workshop
The NSU Office of Athletic Academic Services recently held a workshop for the softball team and brought in the team’s alumni to help out.
Former Sharks Sarah DeMuth, Noemi Luciani and Laura Saladrigas led a workshop aimed at exposing the current student-athletes to campus resources and best practices. Topics included acting proactively with a busy schedule and effective note taking. The former Sharks also talked about maintaining the team’s identity around campus as effective students and successful athletes.
“Whenever we can get our alumni involved, it’s a special event,” said assistant coach Robin Martin. “The information and insight these three highly-esteemed alumni provided our current student-athletes is invaluable. They lived it and excelled in every aspect of what it means to be a student-athlete. I couldn’t be more proud to put these successful young women in front of our team to share in their experiences and provide a little glimpse into what the future could look like after softball. It was a fun experience and we’re fortunate to have a group of graduates who are engaged and excited to give back to the program.”
