NSU Baseball Player Claims NCBWA All-South Region Honor
Carlos Asuaje
Carlos Asuaje (Jr., Weston, Fla.) was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association All-South Region Second Team. Asuaje earns his third postseason award of the year after picking up All-Sunshine State Second-Team and Daktronics, Inc. All-South Region honors last week.
Asuaje earns multiple regional honors for the third consecutive year. He started and played in all but two games this season for NSU, while compiling team highs in doubles (13) and on-base percentage (.441). Asuaje racked up 33 RBI on 57 hits and led the conference in stolen bases with 32. He was also the most walked player on the team, with 38.
