Assistant GSCIS Dean Receives Grant to Help Seniors Learn Computer Skills

Mike Brodie, Executive Director of Residential Living at Miami Jewish Health Systems, celebrates receiving the grant along with Nancy Zombek, LCSW, Resident Service Coordinator for Douglas Gardens North for Miami Jewish Health Systems, and NSU GSCIS Assistant Dean, Eric S. Ackerman.
NSU Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences (GSCIS) Assistant Dean, Eric S. Ackerman, Ph.D., was recently notified that the Neighborhood Networks Center grant he submitted in partnership with Douglas Gardens North was approved.
The grant is being funded for $5,300 and will purchase hardware and provide seniors with training in basic computer skills, internet, email, and other related skills.
