Eric S. Ackerman, Ph.D.
Assistant Dean of NSU’s Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences, Eric S. Ackerman, Ph.D., is currently serving as the charter president of the South Florida chapter of the Data Management Association International (DAMA). He is also serving as the president of the South Florida InfraGard chapter.
DAMA International is a not-for-profit, vendor independent association of technical and business professionals dedicated to advancing the concepts and practices for data resource management and enterprise information. The primary purpose of DAMA International is to promote the understanding, development, and practice of managing data and information to support business strategies. DAMA International has chapters and members throughout the world.
InfraGard is an information sharing and analysis effort serving the interests and combining the knowledge base of a wide range of members. At its most basic level, InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private sector. InfraGard is an association of businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States.
