“Art of Wine and Food” Tasting Series Continues at Museum of Art, Dec. 16

The Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale, Nova Southeastern University, continues its delectable wine and food pairings with exquisite art during its “Art of Wine and Food” tasting series Dec. 16 at the Museum Café/Bar/Lobby Area. The tasting includes three to four wines presented with food pairings.

The once-a-month series gives attendees a social, fun and educational opportunity to learn about delicious wines and foods, as well as the chance to enjoy the Museum’s current exhibitions including Tom Wesselmann Draws.

The series will be hosted by Stephanie Miskew, Certified Specialist of Wine, and author of the blog Stephanie Savors the Moment. Miskew works as a consultant organizing wine tastings, vintner dinners, and educational programs for both professional and charitable events. She also writes wine reviews and educational content for wine guru Gary Vaynerchuck’s Web site, Cork’d.

Also hosting will be Chef John Paul Kline of Delray Beach-based John Paul Custom Cuisine. Chef John Paul is dedicated to artfully preparing the highest quality food, using the freshest ingredients possible. His degree is in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales Culinary Institute in Providence, RI with extensive experience as a personal chef on Nantucket and at acclaimed restaurants in New England and the eastern seaboard.

The evening will feature “Holiday Sparklers!” and will focus on ringing in the New Year with sparklers from around the world. The wine tasting will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. The Museum’s galleries are open at 5 p.m. for a complimentary viewing of the exhibitions and closes at 8 p.m.
