Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra to Offer Concert of Musical “Favorites,” Spoken Word

Throughout the past year, fans of the Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra have shared their favorite musical selections via social media and audience surveys. Now, Ars Flores will present an eclectic concert of classics suggested by the community.

Miniaci Performing Arts Center

Part of the college’s Resident Series, the concert will feature numbers ranging from Mozart and Gershwin classics to original works performed by string quartets. Audience Favorites will also include tangos and performances of spoken word.

Prior to the evening’s performance, Ars Flores will offer Music for Munchkins: a free, 30-minute mini-concert geared toward children and their families.

Tickets to the Audience Favorites concert are now available for purchase online. Tickets are not required for Music for Munchkins.

The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences partners with Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra to further connect campus and community creative resources. NSU’s orchestra in residence is a unique professional orchestra with professional, conservatory, college, and gifted high school students performing side by side. Ars Flores gives students a rare opportunity to rehearse and perform with talented professional musicians, all of whom hold at least one degree in music.
