Anton Lobanov Competes In World University Games
Coming off of one of the most prestigious seasons of any student-athlete in NSU swimming and diving history, Anton Lobanov (So., Novosibirisk, Russia) competed in the World University Games in South Korea.
After winning the national championship in the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke, and swimming the sixth fastest time ever recorded in the 100-breast, Lobanov was named to the Russian Swimming Federation’s World University Games team in early May.
During his time in South Korea, Lobanov finished 13th overall in the 100-breat and finished in the top-25 in the 50-breast. Lobanov will be training for the rest of the summer, preparing to defend his NCAA Division II titles this coming season.
