Annual Dance Production to Showcase New Works from Various Artists, Nov. 2-3

The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences will open the 2012–2013 Studio Series with Dance Works, an annual presentation of performances and original choreography from students, faculty members, and guest artists.

Dance Works
Nov. 2–3
7:30 p.m.
Performance Theatre | Don Taft University Center

This year’s production will feature a performance by NSU alumna Susana Fajardo (B.A. Dance, ’12), a dance duet by undergraduate students Fernando Campos and Rayna Orsini, and new works choreographed by college faculty members Elana Lanczi, M.F.A., associate professor; Chetachi Egwu, Ph.D., assistant professor; and Daniela Wancier, M.F.A., adjunct professor. Guest artist Heather Maloney, a Miami-based dancer and choreographer, will also premiere a solo piece.

Following the performances, there will be an informal Q&A session, during which audience members will have the opportunity to discuss the works with the artists.

Admission to Dance Works is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required, although seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, call (954) 262-8179.
