Amanda Brown Promoted Associate Head Coach for Women’s Golf
NSU athletic director, Michael Mominey, announced that Amanda Brown has been promoted to Associate Head Coach for women’s golf.
Coming into the season, Brown was entering her fifth year as a member of the women’s golf coaching staff. Her promotion to associate head coach also comes at a time when the program has already experienced a great deal of success, including back-to-back national championships in 2009 and 2010. She has also helped guide the program to three NCAA South Regional titles, two Sunshine State Conference Championships, four NCAA National Players of the Year, three national Freshmen of the Year and 11 All-Americans.
Brown is no stranger to the NSU women’s golf program, having been a player from 2001 through 2005. During her collegiate playing career, she was named an NAIA All-American and was a two-time Academic All-American. Brown graduated NSU in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in English and in 2010 with a master’s in writing.
