Alumni Weekend in the Hamptons

The NSU Alumni Association recently hosted a Weekend in the Hamptons, as part of its inaugural FIN Travel program. The weekend began with a classic clambake, catered by the Southampton Inn.

On Friday, alumni and friends found out why Long Island is quickly becoming one of the nation’s most exciting emerging wine regions as they enjoyed a North Fork wine tour and catered lunch. The tour included expert-led tours of Raphael Vineyards, Osprey’s Dominion Vineyards, and Duck Walk Vineyard.

On Saturday, guests explored the rich artistic legacy of the Hamptons with tours to four of the most important East End art institutions: the Parrish Art Museum, Watermill Center, Dia Art Foundation at the Dan Flavin Art Institute, and the Pollack-Krasner House and Study Center.

Guests also visited East Hampton’s Drawing Room gallery for wine, ending the day with dinner at Fresno.

The weekend ended with a goodbye breakfast on Sunday at the Southampton Inn. Regarding the weekend, one guest stated “This was a wonderful experience. I made new friends that I will see again…I hope more events like this will be planned.”
