Alumni Spotlight: Talkin’ Baseball With Former Shark J.D. Martinez
J.D. Martinez opens up about his time at NSU and his experience in “The Bigs.”
After being released from the Houston Astros in the spring of 2014, the Detroit Tigers jumped at the opportunity to have J.D. Martinez as part of their organization, signing him immediately following his release from the Astros. Since being with the Tigers, Martinez has launched 23 and 38 home runs in 2014 and 2015, propelling himself into the top-10 outfielders in the game conversation.
