Alumni Reception at the Aventura’s Fairmont Turnberry
On Thursday, May 26, the NSU Alumni Association hosted a reception at the Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort in Aventura. Alumni and friends gathered for an evening of networking and camaraderie and a special presentation featuring Gayle Carson, Ed.D., a graduate of NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler School of Education. Carson is founder of the Internet Information Marketing Association. She is also a business owner, author, career coach, and radio personality, and is considered the “Wiz of Biz.”
Carson spoke on the topics of entrepreneurial spirit, how to add value to one’s organization, and how to utilize personal strengths and abilities to transform one’s career. Guests were able to ask questions, network, and had the exclusive opportunity to learn first-hand from a fellow alumna who is an expert in her field.
On hand to greet attendees were Miami-Dade Alumni Chapter president Mauricio Angee, M.S., of NSU’s Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences, and Broward County Alumni Chapter president Phil Schlissel, J.D., of NSU’s Shepard Broad Law Center.
The NSU Alumni Association offers a variety of programs that include social, networking, continuing education, and community service. Learn more here.
