The Nova Southeastern University Farquhar Honors College, held its annual Alpha Chi National College Honors Society Induction Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 17 at the Performance Theatre in the University Center. Alpha Chi is a coeducational academic honor society whose purpose is to promote academic excellence and exemplary character and to honor those students who achieve this distinction. This year, the Alpha Chi inductees included 14 junior and senior nursing students from the College of Nursing. Students invited to join Alpha Chi must hold academic grades that place them in the top of all upper-class students. The ceremony was attended not only by NSU’s President, George L. Hanbury, but by administration and faculty from the College of Nursing including the Dean, Marcella M. Rutherford, and the Assistant Dean, Denise Howard. The ceremony ended with a reception on the second floor of the theatre.
