AcademicFest: An Opportunity to Discover More about the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences
(Photo caption: Left to right – Farquhar College of Arts & Sciences’ faculty members Gary Gershman, J.D., Ph.D., and Mark Jaffe, D.P.M.; NSU President George L. Hanbury II, Ph.D., and Don Rosenblum, Ph.D., dean Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences.)
AcademicFest was a huge success! With the spotlight on Farquhar College of Arts & Sciences, the NSU community attended the showcase in large numbers and learned about all of the exciting programs that the college has to offer. One popular feature was the Writing Wall, designed to prompt AcademicFest visitors to respond to the question, “What is academic writing?” Visit the wall at http://www.fcas.nova.edu/about/academicfest/.
If you missed AcademicFest, you can view photos taken at the event and discover even more about the college online.
Visit the college’s AcademicFest Web page for more information about programs, services, and community-engagement initiatives—including student and faculty research, faculty profiles, student support services, value-added programs, and performing and visual arts partnerships. And, there’s plenty to see in the college’s Photo Gallery.
We welcome your feedback. If you have any questions about anything you learned, or would like to tell us about your experience at the college’s AcademicFest, please email OIS@nova.edu. Be sure to put “AcademicFest” in the subject line.
In addition to the academic presentations, lunch and several prizes were provided by Frank DePiano, Ph.D., university provost and executive VP for Academic Affairs. Additional prizes were also provided by Don Rosenblum, Ph.D., dean of the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences.
