Sarah Koplow, Ph.D.

On Wednesday, January 24, 2018, Sarah Koplow, Ph.D., provided a Health and Wellness lecture to the members of the Nova Southeastern University Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI). Koplow is an assistant professor at the Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing and enjoys collaborating with the LLI by providing interactive seminars on various educational health topics to the LLI, and their community partners. The topic and discussion at this class included information about the link between stress and chronic disorders, the impact of mindfulness and meditation on managing stress, and the practicing of exercises. The lecture was well-attended by members of the LLI.

The Nova Southeastern University Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) provides a vibrant educational environment for mature adult. A fixture in South Florida since 1977, programs promote intellectual stimulation, physical wellbeing, and social growth that enriches the lives of its members and the community. The LLI offers classes year-round with focus on humanities based topics including history, politics, literature, art, music and science. Exercise programs are also offered several days a week.

Off-campus the LLI brings lectures to over two dozen locations including numerous retirement communities as well as running regional campuses at the Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center and the David Posnack Jewish Community Center.
