Miniaci Performing Arts Center welcomes Entertainer/Actor Hal Linden, Feb. 24

NSU students, faculty, staff and alumni will receive $10 off select seats for the following upcoming show. A valid NSU Shark card is required. Purchase online or by phone with promo code “NSU2020.” (Only 2 tickets per NSU ID.) NSU ID must be shown when picking up tickets.

Hal Linden



Hal Linden’s career has spanned more than 65 years with memorable roles on stage, television, in film and a cabaret-style variety show that he tours nationally. Linden is perhaps best known for his portrayal of police precinct captain Barney Miller in the hit television series, earning multiple Golden Globe and Emmy nominations.

Linden made his Broadway debut in 1957 in the musical “Bells Are Ringing” opposite Judy Holliday. To date, he has performed in more than 20 Broadway and Off Broadway productions and won the 1971 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for “The Rothschilds. His outstanding stagecraft led to roles on both the big and small screen earning him numerous Emmys and the Peabody Award.

More recently, Linden, also a classically trained clarinetist, has spent considerable time traveling the country performing in concert. The show is an entertaining combination of songs, ranging from classic pop to jazz standards, Broadway and feature film tunes and favorites from the American Songbook as well as theatrical musings highlighting memorable moments from his life and career.
